Tottenham Hotspur is said to have been a team to make a £75 m offer for Lille forward Victor Osimhen.
It is expected that Harry Kane will be competing in the market for a new future this summer, but the financial impact of the coronavirus outbreak is likely to reduce their spending.
Nevertheless, according to the editor of Les Cahiers du Football, Abdellah Bulma, a bid of £75 million for the player came from Tottenham.
Initially, a recent report suggested that Lille had received the bid in question from both Liverpool and Chelsea for Nigeria international. Inter Milan was also thought to be interested in a summer contract.
However, Osimhen is said to prefer a transfer to the Premier League over a transfer to Italy.
The 21-year-old was in excellent form for his French club during the 2019-20 season, scoring 18 times in 38 appearances in all competitions.
