Tennis News: Emma Raducanu has donated her winning US Open suit to the Tennis Hall of Fame; the teenager’s incredible triumph in New York has shot her straight to the top of the women’s game.

Emma Raducanu’s winning attire from the US Open will be placed at the Tennis Hall of Fame after she became the first qualifier to win a Grand Slam.

Raducanu has had a hectic few weeks since becoming the first British woman to win a Grand Slam since Virginia Wade 44 years ago.

She has been the hottest property in women’s sport following her incredible run in New York, which ended in her stunning victory over fellow Canadian youngster Leylah Fernandez.

Following her victory, the adolescent attended the lavish Met Gala, and she was named an ambassador for high-end jewellery brand Tiffany this week.

Raducanu, who is looking for a new coach after announcing her departure from former Davis Cup player Andrew Richardson, is back in training and considering where to return to the circuit, with the BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells, one of the largest events on the WTA Tour, set to begin on October 6.

“A legendary run: preserved,” the Tennis Hall of Fame tweeted on Monday.

“Thank you for giving your memorable #USOpen costume to the ITHF collection, @EmmaRaducanu!”

Raducanu has risen 128 places to 22nd in the global rankings as a result of her triumph at Flushing Meadows.

Her achievement means she has a chance to qualify for the WTA Finals in Guadalajara at the end of the season, which contains the top eight players from the year.

The event’s qualifiers include defending winner Ashleigh Barty, world No. 2 Aryna Sabalenka, and French Open champion Barbora Krejcikova.

Karolina Pliskova, a Wimbledon finalist, is presently fourth, followed by Maria Sakkari, Iga Swiatek, Naomi Osaka, and Garbine Muguruza.
