Tennis News: Andy Murray, the British tennis player, has asked the public for aid in locating his wedding band, which was taken after he left it tied to his shoes. Notably, Murray had fastened his wedding band to the sneakers because he never wears it when playing. After preparing for the forthcoming Indian Wells tournament, he had put his smelly shoes out overnight to obtain some fresh air.
Andy Murray took to Instagram to seek that his wedding ring is returned. Murray documented his ordeal in a video post, captioning it, “Yes I know I’m an idiot and in hindsight, it looks like a terrible idea but I need some help,” with a laughing face emoji.
Murray said in the Instagram video, “Hi everyone, how are you doing?” I’ve got a little narrative for you that I need your help with.
“Basically, after dinner here in Indian Wells last night, I got back in the car to go back to the hotel, and the car didn’t smell great.”
“I put my tennis shoes in there, and it’s been like 39 degrees, so my tennis shoes are quite damp, sweaty, and smelly.”

The three-time Grand Slam champion is training for the Indian Wells tournament. Murray will face Frenchman Adrian Mannarino in his first outing at Indian Wells in four years. Murray has been struggling of late, losing to Stefanos Tsitsipas, Casper Ruud, and Wimbledon semi-finalist Hubert Hurkacz.
He commented on his recent performances, saying, “I also had a number of opportunities in those matches that I did not quite take.”
“They’re going to snuff out some of your opportunities, but there’s also some stuff in those matches that I really feel I could have done better.”
“I don’t feel like I’ve been outclassed or haven’t had any chances against them, so there are some things to take away from those losses.”
