Representatives of UEFA’s member football associations have held a conference on Champions League reform.
The meeting, attended by UEFA president Aleksander Čeferin, discussed the idea of changing the format of the competition from 32 to 36 teams.
None of the 55 associations have spoken out against the idea. According to Sky Sports, the negotiations have been very positive.
The meeting also discussed adopting a “Swiss system” for the group stage, with each team featuring 10 matches.
The final decision on changing the Champions League format will not be taken until April.
