Marcos Rojo has left Manchester United permanently, having long been out of the first-team picture at Old Trafford.
Signed by Louis van Gaal, Rojo, 30, joined United in 2014.
But he has since been out of the first-team reckoning.
Now, eventually, Rojo has been offloaded by United, with the Argentine defender returning to his homeland and joining Boca Juniors.
United have now reported that Rojo joined Boca for an undisclosed fee. During his tenure at the club, he won four trophies.
“Everyone at the club would like to wish him all the best for the future,” United said in a statement confirming Rojo’s exit.
