Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford is one of the “next 100 most influential people in the world”.
He was named as such by TIME magazine, which seeks to honor young leaders.
It’s a twist on the regular ‘TIME100’ annual list of the most prominent figures on the planet.
And Rashford has been recognized as part of this new generation of global leaders thanks to his tireless efforts to tackle food poverty in the United Kingdom.
Rashford has actively lobbied the government of the United Kingdom over the past year to help feed children.
Often, schools provide the only meal of the day for those children who live in poverty, leaving many hungry during school closures and school holidays.
These kids, left even more vulnerable by the pandemic, found help in Rashford.
