Luis Suarez admits that unaware of Juventus’ involvement, he decided to take an Italian citizenship test.
At the point, Suarez played for Barcelona and Juventus were in negotiations to sign him.
During his oral examination at the University for Foreigners in Perugia last September, the Atletico Madrid forward obtained a B1 passing score.
The Italian ‘Guardia di Finanza’ learned all the questions before the test had taken place.
“There were many clubs interested, not only Juventus,” Suarez said in a new interview with El Transistor.
“I’ve continued the process to get Italian citizenship because I had been working on it for more than one year.”
In December, the former Liverpool hero reported that he had already reached an understanding prior to taking the exam with the Old Lady.
