Juventus head coach Andrea Pirlo has shared his expectations for the first Italian Cup semi-final against Inter, set for February 2.
“We have learnt a lot from our game in Serie A (0-2),” Pirlo told Club TV.
“We have learnt that we stop being Juventus when we lose our concentration. We were lucky to have the game against Napoli in three days, so we were able to bring our concentration back to the right level.”
“Now we must not relax, the second half of the season has just begun. There are a lot of matches ahead,” he added.
“I expect Inter to play as usual. We know their coach well, we are prepared for what can happen.
“They are good defensively and dangerous on the counter-attack and running into free areas, we have to be extremely careful.”
“I want to see a team aware of their strength. It’s the first match of two, it’s not decisive and we have to approach the game intelligently,” he specified, about his team.
“We will need to make changes. Buffon will start in, Ramsey will not play because of muscle problems, but we hope he will be ready on Saturday.
“We have not lost the will to win, our ambition will be crucial.”
