Tottenham boss Jose Mourinho gave an update on Harry Kane’s health, speaking after the defeat at relegation-threatened Brighton on Sunday.
Kane seems to be hopeful that he will return to full fitness in a few weeks, the Portuguese coach has revealed.
During Spurs’ latest loss to Liverpool, the England striker was replaced at half time, having injured both ankles.
Mourinho said, as quoted by the club’s website: “The news is pretty good news. After Liverpool, [we had] no idea. Then the next day, we were thinking about three weeks, something like that.
“I don’t want to be super-optimistic, but Harry is optimistic, he has the experience of some injuries in his ankles and in Harry’s mind, it’s a couple of weeks, so let’s see if he’s right.”
