PPTV, owned by Inter’s main shareholder Suning, have reportedly lost the rights to broadcast Serie A.
The bad news of a serious delay in payments came from China was announced by Calciomercato.
Suning failed to pay IMG, the firm that markets Series A rights worldwide.
Inter CEO Beppe Marotta told Sky Sport Italia before the match against Fiorentina on Friday: “This is a delicate moment for problems that have little to do with what happens on the pitch.
“The technical area works to manage it in the best possible way, isolating the team from these problems that are over our heads. They will be solved in the best possible ways.”
The report shows that for months the company has not earned the defined fees and the economic downturn seems increasingly serious for the owners of Inter.
Because of the crisis, the outlet claims that BC Partners’ bid for the shares in Inter was smaller than the Chinese business demanded.
