Inter head coach Antonio Conte has shared his impressions of the Serie A match against Lazio (3-1).
“I congratulated Simone Inzaghi for having a very tough, organised and very classy team,” the coach told Sky Sport Italia, about the opponents.
“The fact they have won six in a row shows how strong they are. At the same time, our victory shows the mental strength of Inter.”
Milan and Inter face each other on 21 February in round 23 of the Italian championship.
And Conte said about being on top of the table: “It’s a goal we have been chasing for a very long time. And we achieved it by beating a very strong team.
“I am happy for the boys, but it should be just the starting position for us, not the finish line.
“We know we have the derby with AC Milan next, and it is much better to approach a match like that, being higher in the table. It will be an exciting game between two teams with big ambitions.”
