Chelsea defender Thiago Silva has commented on his departure from PSG as a free agent last summer.
“Look, I didn’t spend one season at the club, not a couple of months. I played for PSG for eight years, was captain, won a number of trophies. I deserve to be treated with a lot more respect. The same thing happened to Cavani,” Silva told FourFourTwo.
“They didn’t offer me anything. They didn’t even say: ‘Thiago, will you play for us for 1 euro?’ Nothing at all. That really upset me. But there was something worse. Even during the pandemic they had three months to plan a farewell, but no action was taken,” he said.
“Nevertheless, I am truly grateful for everything that has happened, excluding the finishing touches. I was happy, I was always treated well,” he concluded, though.
