Under new manager Thomas Tuchel, Chelsea secured their first win – they defeated Burnley 2-0 on Sunday at Stamford Bridge.
With a superb finish, Cesar Azpilicueta opened the half-time stroke scoring for the German coach.
Then, Marcos Alonso, who started the match ahead of Ben Chilwell, won his first Blues manager a 2-0 victory.
Also, under Tuchel, Chelsea posted a second consecutive clean sheet, the first being when the Blues played a drab goalless draw at Wolverhampton Wanderers’ home last Wednesday.
Thus, Tuchel became the first Chelsea manager to retain a clean sheet in both of his first two Premier League matches, since former boss Rafael Benitez debuted in 2012.
