According to many Italian sources, Suning has declined BC Partners’ 750 million euro offer to buy a majority stake in Inter.
The proposal is in the €750m region, but demand is close to €1b.
Also, BC Partners has pledged an additional €200m to fund short-term loans, according to Tuttosport.
And the Financial Times reveals that Suning is ‘rushing to collect at least $200m in emergency cash.
The exclusivity period of BC Partners ended in January, which means that Suning will hear offers arriving from multiple suitors.
