Bayern Munich’s 2020 FIFA Club World Cup travel plans were postponed by more than seven hours of delays on Friday night.
After their Bundesliga clash with Hertha, Bayern flew straight from Berlin, won by Kingsley Coman with a single first-half goal.
But the squad aircraft was refused permission to take off just before midnight at its scheduled time.
The flight was postponed by more than seven hours.
And the unplanned overnight stay meant the crew had to be changed because their full hours had already been reached by the original staff claim club’s statement.
Finally, they didn’t take off from Germany until Saturday morning to head to Qatar, where the tournament is being held.
