After a 1-0 home loss to Burnley on Thursday night, Liverpool have suffered their worst top-flight goal drought for 20 years.

Ashley Barnes’s penalty was enough to propel Burnley to a historic victory, claim BBC Sport.

Since the 7-0 thrashing of Crystal Palace before Christmas, the champions are in a rut at the moment and have now failed to win in five top-flight matches.

Since April 2017, the Reds have not tasted a Premier League loss at Anfield.

But welcoming Sean Dyche’s men to Merseyside changed that.

At the individual level, the team managed by Jurgen Klopp has now failed to score in four league matches since December 2006, during which time he was in charge of Bundesliga side Mainz 05.
