Referees and Assistants for Series A and B Do Not Have Coronavirus

It is not only players and coaching staff who need regular coronavirus tests, but also the officials of the match who will be taking part in Series A and B games, according to Football Italia.

As such, a statement confirmed that all 22 Series A and 15 Series B officials, along with their assistants, had a complete medical screening, including COVID-19 testing.

Consequently, the COVID-19 examinations’ findings for all the referees and assistants of Series A and B returned negative.

Now cleared, they will stay at the training camp in Coverciano until June 10 to get back to full fitness. After that, once the games resume, officials will be asked on matchday to get as much social distance as possible, travelling in their own cars to and from the stadium.
