There may be a global pandemic going on but this summer it doesn’t seem like Real Madrid will slow down in the transfer market.
However, Los Blancos don’t just look outside the club. They also look at cleaning up the deadwood within the squad itself. Also important is securing the players that they value most.
Of those names, without doubt, is that of Casemiro, who has emerged as an important player for Real manager Zinedine Zidane. Now, it sounds like he’s going to stay on Bernabeu a few more seasons.
Mundo Deportivo today writes that the contract renovation for the midfielder has been “closed” and that all the terms of its extension have been agreed today.
Casemiro has proved to be an effective shielding midfielder since his return to the club in 2015.
Retaining him is going to be a massive boost for the club, with the players now back in training and getting ready to play out the rest of this season – if all go to plan – start next month.
