Test series: Jonny Bairstow decided to take a break before England’s Test series against South Africa, therefore he won’t play for the Welsh Fire in The Hundred.
Bairstow had initially agreed to play for the Welsh Fire in their first few games before rejoining England, but he has subsequently decided to take a break from cricket because of his “hectic” summer schedule.
He has played in nine games for England in all formats, and his bat was crucial to their victory against New Zealand in the Test series.

Along with the Twenty20 World Cup, England has a hectic autumn and winter programme that includes two tours to Pakistan, as well as a series against Australia, New Zealand, and Bangladesh.
“I’m really disappointed I won’t be part of The Hundred this year,” Bairstow said.
