Patrick Cutrone has left Wolverhampton Wanderers to sign for his hometown club Como 1907

Patrick Cutrone has left Wolverhampton Wanderers to sign for his hometown club Como 1907. The striker has signed a three year deal with the Serie B club.

The striker signed for Wolves from AC Milan in 2019 for a reported £16.20 million fee. Apart from various loan moves, the Italian has scored twice in 14 appearances for the club.

Como’s newest signing has made 190 appearances for top flight clubs in England and Italy. Furthermore, he has won a cap for the Italian national side.

Lariani announced, ‘Como 1907 is pleased to announce the hiring of forward Patrick Cutrone from Wolverhampton with a three-year contract.’

Wolves announced, ‘striker Patrick Cutrone has joined Italian Serie B side Como 1907, sealing a permanent move to his hometown club.

‘Everyone at Wolves wishes Patrick all the best for the future.’

Cutrone said: “Being able to play and represent the club of my city is a real honor. This is where I grew up, where I first kicked a ball, where my heart, my family and my friends are. Being able to return to Como as a footballer is one of the greatest joys. This is why the negotiation was short, as soon as I heard of Como’s interest I had no doubts: it was the right transfer. Of course I have followed the path of the club and I already know many members of the team. Serie B is a very difficult championship, but I am convinced that we can have our say. We will play match by match, but I am convinced that we will have a good championship ”.
