Chelsea is set to obtain £48 m from Atletico Madrid for Alvaro Morata at the beginning of July.
According to Marca, the fulfilment of this responsibility would constitute Atletico’s main part of the market in the next transfer window.
The report suggests that Chelsea would eventually collect a large fee of almost 50 million euros from La Liga, despite the financial consequences of the coronavirus pandemic.
Despite the return of 24 goals from 72 games in all competitions, Morata’s unhappiness in London led to his return to Madrid in January 2019.
Morata has continued to experienced an unsuccessful spell at Wanda Metropolitano, making just 14 hits out of 38 trips to Spain’s top flight.
Although the Blues were able to sign an 18-month loan agreement with Morata, an agreement was reached on the grounds that Atletico would conclud a permanent move in the summer of 2020.
