Luke Cundle has joined Swansea City on loan from Wolverhampton Wanderers. The duration of the transfer will be for the rest of this season and subject to international clearance.

A product of the Wolves youth academy. Luke has made three senior appearances for the Midland team. This will be the midfielder’s first move away having joined the club as a 12-year-old in 2014.

He played a part in the reserves securing promotion into Premier League 2 Division 1 last season.

The Swans announced: ‘Swansea City has completed the signing of midfielder Luke Cundle on loan from Wolverhampton Wanderers, subject to international clearance.

‘The 20-year-old will spend the remainder of the 2022-23 season with the Swans, and will wear the number 18 shirt after becoming the club’s fifth signing of the summer transfer window.

‘Cundle is in contention to make his debut in Wednesday night’s Championship clash with Stoke.’

Wolves announced: ‘Young Wolves midfielder Luke Cundle has signed for Swansea City. On loan and will spend the 2022/23 Championship season with the Welsh club.

‘The 20-year-old academy graduate has made seven senior appearances in gold and black since being promoted into the first-team squad and heads to Swansea in a bid to continue his development and gain new experiences in the second tier of English football.’
