Bayer Leverkusen winger Leon Bailey has reportedly been named by Manchester City.
While this season the 22-year-old has contributed just five goals and one assist in the Bundesliga, he’s been limited to seven starts and nine substitute outings. These then become impressive statistics.
The Premier League outfit has been left impressed by the Jamaican winger’s success, according to the Daily Mail. Leverkusen too, is reportedly open to sale if they obtain a £40 m bid.
Although there is confusion about next season’s participation of the club in Europe, City obviously intends to offer a big money alternative to the Germany international.
Manchester City is thus looking into the star as a possible replacement for Leroy Sane. Sane is expected to leave for Bayern Munich during the next transfer window, with just over a year left on his deal.
