Jessica Korda, her sister Nelly Korda, Michelle Wie West, US Davis Cup captain Mardy Fish, and former baseball pitcher John Smoltz will all be competing at the Lake Nona Golf & Country Club in Orlando to defend their Tournament of Champions title.

The LPGA’s season-opening event in Florida later this month will feature defending champion Jessica Korda, her sister Nelly Korda, and Michelle Wie West, among a star-studded field.

Jessica Korda won the Tournament of Champions last January after defeating Danielle Kang with a dramatic 25-foot birdie putt on the first playoff hole.

Danielle Kang, Brooke Henderson, Lydia Ko, Inbee Park, Ariya Jutanugarn, Anna Nordqvist, and Stacy Lewis have all confirmed their participation.

Wie West qualified for the 2021 event by winning the HSBC Women’s World Championship in 2018.

The 32-year-old was unable to compete in the 2021 tournament due to maternity leave following the birth of her daughter in 2020, but she is now qualified to compete this year.

The celebrity competition will feature 50 celebrities, including Mardy Fish, the 2021 champion, and John Smoltz, the 2019 and 2020 champion.

Annika Sorenstam, Jack Wagner, Blair O’Neal, and NFL legends Marcus Allen and Charles Woodson are among the others on the field.

The purse has been upped by 25% to $1.5 million, with the celebrity field competing in a modified Stableford format for a $500,000 purse.
