Saudi International: The PGA Tour has given players conditional permission to compete in next year’s Saudi International.

Dustin Johnson, Phil Mickelson, and Bryson DeChambeau are among the 25 players already confirmed for the Asian Tour tournament, which will take place from February 3-6.

The tournament, which was previously on the European Tour, will take place the same week as the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am in California, and the PGA Tour has already said that waivers will not be granted.

Players who have competed in the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am at least once in the previous five years have been granted a release on the condition that they commit to playing it again in the next two years.

If a player has never competed in the event before, he will have to do it again in the next three years.

Xander Schauffele, Paul Casey, Tommy Fleetwood, Adam Scott, and a slew of other top players have signed up for the Saudi event at Royal Greens Golf and Country Club.

The Saudi international, which pays appearance fees, has become the Asian Tour’s flagship event, with 10 new events added as part of a 10-year investment by LIV Golf Investments, a mostly Saudi-backed firm run by Greg Norman.

The PGA Tour stressed that the announcements are not “creating precedents.”

No. 3 in the world In 2019 and 2021, Johnson won the Saudi International, and in 2020, he finished second to Graeme McDowell.
