Investigators have found evidence that Tiger Woods was driving at nearly double the legal speed limit during his car crash. Woods crashed at high speed and was lucky to survive according to reports. Woods was hospitalised with multiple fractures but was recently released from the hospital.
“In the last few days, I received word from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department that their investigation regarding my traffic accident back on February 23rd in Los Angeles has been completed and closed.” Woods said in a statement. “I am so grateful to both of the good samaritans who came to assist me and called 911. I am also thankful to the LASD Deputies and LA Firefighter/Paramedics, especially LA Sheriff’s Deputy Carlos Gonzalez and LAFD Engine Co. #106 Fire Paramedics Smith and Gimenez, for helping me so expertly at the scene and getting me safely to the hospital.”
The authorities were tight lipped about the details of the incident due to privacy concerns but have now released details after being given permission by Woods. He was driving a SUV loaned by the tournament, the Genesis Invitational, at Riviera Country Club. the 15-time major champion is at home recuperating and will not feature at The Masters this week.
