Zlatan Ibrahimovic has been included in the Swedish national team’s preliminary squad for March’s 2022 World Cup qualifying games and a friendly against Estonia, reports Sky Sport Italia.
The 39-year-old forward AC Milan striker will thus resume playing for the Swedish national team.
In the current Serie A season, the striker has scored 14 goals in 14 games.
And Milan have yet to confirm that the player will be called up to the national team.
The situation also depends on how quickly the Swede can recover from the injury he picked up in the Serie A game against Roma (2-1) on 28 February.
Zlatan played for Sweden from 2001 to 2016. He scored 62 goals in 116 games and is the team’s top scorer.
Ibrahimovic has had a tense relationship with coach Janne Andersson, but that has now been sorted out.
