Zlatan Ibrahimovic has been named in Sweden’s squad for the 2022 World Cup qualifiers against Georgia and Kosovo.
The veteran forward took to Twitter to confirm news, with his usual humility, writing: “The return of the God.”
Following Sweden’s exit from Euro 2016, the 39-year-old declared his retirement.
His fraught relationship with current Sweden coach Janne Andersson also did nothing to indicate that he will ever return.
However, after months of speculation, Ibrahimovic has been named to Swibraeden’s World Cup qualifying squad for March.
He will thus be reversing his decision to withdraw from international football.
