The Reds visit the Hawthorns after a dramatic 4-2 victory at Manchester United in midweek.

On the other hand, unfortunately, West Brom entered relegation last weekend after a 3-1 loss to Arsenal.

Team news

Branislav Ivanovic is unlikely to return after the club’s relegation; so, him and Robert Snodrass are unavailable for the Baggies.

Ainsley Maitland-Niles will play for West Brom here, after missing the previous match against his parent club Arsenal. Dara O’Shea will also be likely to start.

For the visit of Liverpool, Sam Allardyce will revert to a back five formation.

West Bromwich Albion possible starting lineup: Johnstone; Ajayi, Bartley, O’Shea; Furlong, Yokuslu, Maitland-Niles, Gallagher, Townsend; Pereira; Diagne

Jurgen Klopp may make changes to the team that defeated Manchester United 4-2 on Thursday night.

Sadio Mane, who was unexpectedly missing last time out, will almost certainly return.

City’s John Stones is also back from suspension and he and Ruben Dias should start at center-back.

Curtis Jones will also make a bid to start in midfield for the visitors.

Liverpool possible starting lineup: Alisson; Alexander-Arnold, Phillips, Williams, Robertson; Fabinho, Thiago, Jones; Salah, Firmino, Mane

WBA vs Liverpool Predictions

  • West Brom are already relegated, with three games remaining. While Sam Allardyce made the Baggies more difficult to beat, he couldn’t keep them safe from the relegation.
  • Still, they’ve won four of their last five home matches against Liverpool. And once they’ve held them to a draw in the reverse fixture earlier in Allardyce’s reign.
  • Liverpool defeated Manchester United 4-2 at Old Trafford on Thursday night, their first victory at Old Trafford in seven years. If they want to finish in the top four now, they must win their remaining games.

Though Williams and Phillips have been outstanding, they are inexperienced centre-backs as compared to Virgil van Dijk and Joe Gomez. West Brom may exploit this as they play without fear.

The Reds have struggled to score more than once in four of their last five visits to the Hawthorns.

Despite all this, West Brom should be quick pickings for Liverpool.

An in-form Liverpool, with Klopp desperate to reverse his bad record against Allardyce, may win and secure a top-four spot.

Our Prediction: WBA vs. Liverpool 1 – 3
