Tottenham Hotspur and South Korea international striker Son Heung-Min is away on international duty. But in shocking football news, Son has sustained an injury while on such international duty, away from Premier League’s Spurs.
According to journalist Sungmo Lee, Son Heung-Min, a 29-year-old player, has sprained a calf muscle in his right leg.
As a result, the South Korean wonder forward is now off their national team’s roster World Cup Qualifier against Lebanon.
This injury has excluded from the squad but it may also jeopardize Tottenham’s game plans for the ongoing Premier League.
Shocking Football News – Son Has Sustained an Injury
The Korea Football Association (KFA) have confirmed the news in an official statement, which reads: “Son felt discomfort in his right calf after training yesterday.
“Today he was undergoing a medical check, as a result of a test on a right calf muscle sprain.
“Therefore he was excluded from today’s match for player protection.”
There are, as of yet, no specifications on the extent of South Korean Son Heung-Min’s injury.
However, there is still a real chance Son might miss the next Premier League game for his club Tottenham Hotspur.
This is when Crystal Palace will take on Spurs at the Selhurst Park Stadium this Saturday.
