Sevilla Defeat Elche 2-0 with Goals from En Nesyri and Franco Vazquez


In the remaining game of the 2nd round of the Spanish football championship, Sevilla defeated Elche 2-0 (1-0).

The Andalusians took the lead in the 43rd minute with a goal by En Nesyri.

Franco Vazquez then scored a goal in the 89th minute for the final 2-0.

The winning team, with this victory, came close to third-placed Real Madrid by three points.

Also, they nine points ahead of fifth-placed Real Sociedad in the fight for places leading to the Champions League.

Meanwhile, Elche remained at 24 points and only one point separates them from the relegation zone in which are Alaves (23), Eibar (22) and Huesca (20).

Leading on the table, Atletico has 63 points, Barcelona 59, Real Madrid 57, Sevilla 54, and Real Sociedad 45.
