Defender Antonio Rüdiger left training early for fighting with goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga. Rüdiger and Kepa clashed at Chelsea’s training session, claims The Guardian.
On Saturday, Chelsea suffered their first defeat under Thomas Tuchel when they lost heavily at home to West Bromwich (2-5).
Rüdiger and Kepa were on the bench during that game, though. Incidentally, Rüdiger was reportedly one of the reasons Tuchel wanted to come to Chelsea.
Now, Rüdiger and Kepa clashed at Chelsea’s training session.
The players began to shove each other and their teammates stepped in to pull them apart.
Rüdiger thus had to leave training early after a clash with the Spaniard on a game episode.
The German later apologised to both Kepa and Blues head coach Tuchel.
