Italy head coach Roberto Mancini is likely to continue with the national team, writes La Repubblica.
He has almost agreed to extend his contract with the Italian Football Federation until 2024.
And it’s likely that Mancini’s new contract will be unveiled tomorrow, ahead of a training camp ahead of the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifying games.
Mancini’s salary will rise from €2m to €3m a year.
Under Mancini, Italy have qualified for UEFA EURO 2020.
But it was reported earlier that after the 2022 World Cup, the Italian specialist could leave the national team.
