Real Madrid Head Coach: Luca and Tony, a Phenomenal Pair of Holding Midfielders

Real Madrid CF head coach Zinedine Zidane has shared his emotions after beating Atalanta 3-1 (1-0 first leg) to reach the Champions League quarter-finals.

“Luca and Tony – a phenomenal pair of holding midfielders. If we talk about Luka… This is a player… He`s 35, but on the field it`s not visible at all,” said Zidane to Marca.

He further picked out players to praise: “I am pleased with Vinicius because he earned the penalty. We know that with his speed he can cause problems to any defense. This is very important.

“Asensio continues to train, he went out and scored. It’s great for him and for us.”

“Congratulations to the players as they performed well from start to finish against a team that demands a lot of physicality from you. You have to defend well and as far as ball control is concerned, I think we played a solid match,” he said about his team overall.

“I think they had no chances at the end, only one by Zapata. They create a lot of goal-scoring chances, we did not see that today. We acted very well, our defensive play is good.”
