Brighton won 2-0 over Leeds United in a Premier League fixture today. After the hosts thus increased the distance between themselves and relegation, here are some reactions to Brighton vs Leeds.
Marcelo Bielsa’s side arrived on the South Coast looking to extend a six-game unbeaten streak.
They were enjoying their best winning run in the top-flight since November 2001 before this 2-0 loss.
But the visitors should’ve known better because they haven’t won an away game at Brighton for over a decade. Their last victory in League One against Brighton on their home ground was in 2009.

Graham Potter, the manager of Brighton, talked to BBC Sport after the match:
“A big victory and a big performance, one with a lot of quality and a lot of character. I was disappointed with the last one and you have to respond, and the players did. Overall a fully deserved three points.
“It was one of our best performances. You have to match Leeds for their effort and honesty and I felt we did that really well. There are still a lot of points to play for and we want to get more points as well.”
On the other hand, Leeds head coach Marcelo Bielsa said: “We didn’t play well. The victory for the opponent was fair.”
“We created very little danger and it was difficult for us to recover the ball,” the coach analysed acutely.
“The game was hard with the height of their centre-backs. We couldn’t avoid them initiating the play nor could we overcome them trying to get in behind.”
