Rangers FC have signed Kathryn Hill from Durham WFC. The club announced: “Rangers Football Club are delighted to announce the signing of defender Kathryn Hill from Durham.
“The 27-year-old rejoins the club having played in Light Blue for over five seasons before moving to America to continue her career.”
Speaking on signing for Rangers, she said: “I am obviously really excited. It is a proud day for me and my family and I am just looking forward to getting started.
“When Rangers WFC are interested and as a Rangers fan it is the only move you want to make. You have everything you need here to progress as a player and I can’t wait to walk in here every day and work hard.
“When I spoke to Amy [McDonald] and Malky and they were giving me the background on the club and the facilities and I thought I have got everything I need to progress here.
“It is up to me how hard I want to work but I have got goals in mind and I think I have got everything I need here which is good, I am really excited. It is a proud day for my family and I and I am just looking forward to getting started and for the hard work to begin.”
Head coach Malky Thomson added: “We are delighted to have signed Kathryn and she brings with her a wealth of experience which will be important as we prepare for an exciting 2022/23 season.
“She is a strong defender who has played regularly in Scotland, America and England and that can only help our squad both on and off the pitch.”
