Former Manchester United goalkeeper Peter Schmeichel has suggested that Jurgen Klopp could lead Bayern Munich in the future.
The German specialist worked in the Bundesliga from 2001 to 2015- where he first coached Mainz and then Borussia Dortmund.
More recently, Klopp denied that he could take charge of the German national team, after Joachim Leve decided to leave once Euro 2020 was done.
“Let’s think about this scenario. Suppose Hans-Dieter Flick leaves for the German national team, which is not a fact. Then Bayern will need a new coach and Jurgen Klopp has already been offered the job. It’s a top position! And that top position is in his home country,” Schmeichel said for CBS Sports.
“They say he won’t leave Liverpool for the German national team. But maybe he will do it for Bayern Munich?”
