Bayern Secure Kimmich on a Contract Extension
Bayern Munich have announced that they have agreed on a contract extension with Joshua Kimmich.
In particular, Kimmich’s new deal with Bayern will now run until 2025, as the club’s press office reported.
Previously reports said that this extension set to make the German international the second highest paid player in the team. In this case, he would be behind only Lewandowski in terms of salary, a claim which we cannot yet confirm.
Kimmich joined Bayern back in 2015 from RB Leipzig making 264 appearances for the club so far, scoring 30 goals.
Bayern May Need to Pay Leipzig over €10m for Sabitzer
Besides football news of Kimmich’s contract renewal, Bayern Munich are now interested in bringing in yet another RB Leipzig player.
RB Leipzig captain Marcel Sabitzer could leave the club with Bayern Munich showing strong interest in the midfielder.
According to journalist Florian Plettenberg, the Austrian himself wants to join Bayern and has already agreed to a contract too.
However, Leipzig only intends to sell the player for a fee over 10 million euros proposed by the German champion.
