West Ham and Southampton have been linked with Adam Armstrong.
However, Newcastle United are leading the race to sign the 24-year-old Blackburn Rovers striker, according to TeamTalk.
The Magpies have the edge. This is because, when Armstrong left the club in 2018, they included a 40 per cent sell-on clause in his contract.
Blackburn’s current asking price is £20 million ($28m).
Newcastle could, however, bring Armstrong back to St James’ Park for significantly less.
