f Manchester City’s pursuit of Danny Ings is fruitful this summer, Liverpool are likely to receive a much-needed cash injection.
City would be willing to pay a significant sum to procure Ings’ services. They may want him replacing Sergio Aguero at the Etihad.
This despite the fact that he would not demand a nine-figure fee like his Dortmund equivalent.
And in this case, Liverpool would stand to benefit directly from a contract for him.
According to the Mirror, the Reds placed a 20% sell-on clause in Ings’s contract.
This clause, placed when they allowed him to leave for Southampton, means they’re in line for a financial windfall if their former player moves to City.
