According to reports, Liverpool has joined Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur in the race to sign Sheffield United midfielder Sander Berge.
The Norwegian international joined Sheffield from Genk for a club-record fee of £22 million last summer.
However, he has only made 13 appearances for the Blades. Berge hasn’t played since December due to a hamstring injury.
So, he may have already played his last game for United, who are relegating to the Championship.
According to Eurosport, now, Liverpool are interested in signing Berge, whom Jurgen Klopp sees as an ideal – and affordable – replacement for Georginio Wijnaldum.
