In the Indian Super League (ISL) last night, Bartholomew Ogbeche’s two goals for Hyderabad FC helped them defeat Odisha FC. So, in ISL football news, Ogbeche scored a brace in Hyderabad’s 6-1 winner which kept them afloat at 2nd place.
The game at Athletic Stadium in Bambolim on Tuesday night got off to an eventful start with an early goal.

Hyderabad FC went ahead in the ninth minute when Edu Garcia swung in a delightful free-kick at the near post. We then saw Joao Victor flicking it on as the ball took a deflection off Hector Rodas and went in.
But Hyderabad’s joy over this own goal was short-lived as Odisha equalised due to hosts’ own goal of their own.
It was almost a repeat of Hyderabad’s opener. Javier Hernandez’s free-kick came off a host of bodies inside the box and squirmed in off Hyderabad goalkeeper Juanan’s chest.
Odisha then turned on the heat with a couple of solid chances. However, Hyderabad scored next as Ogbeche made it 2-1 with a thumping header from a cross by Edu Garcia.
At halftime, Hyderabad led 2-1 but it was truly in the second-half that they dominated Odisha with a scintillating performance.
Edu Garcia started the onslaught with his run, tricking an Odisha defender and firing home into the right bottom corner.
At the hour mark, Hyderabad made it 4-1 riding Ogbeche’s second goal on the night. The striker took a deft first touch to score a left-footer past the keeper and into the bottom corner.
In the 68th minute, Javier Siverio replaced Ogbeche and found the back of the net minutes right after coming on. He slotted in in a Juanan ball into the net.
Siverio won a penalty five minutes to full time after Gaurav Bora brought him down inside the box. Joao Victor stepped up and slotted it past the keeper from the spot.
