Inter Miami co-owner David Beckham has spoken out about attracting stars of the level of Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo to the Florida club.
“When we announced [the creation of] Inter Miami, there was always talk about the players we could bring in – Ronaldo, Messi, Neymar,” Beckham told ESPN. “There will always be that kind of talk.”
He then spoke candidly about MLS as an alluring league to play in: “Honestly, I don’t think it’s a difficult decision for players to move here. It’s a beautiful place here. It’s an incredible city here. We have a great fan base, there’s a lot of talent in Miami and South Florida. It’s a city that attracts big stars from Europe.”
