Striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic is Sweden’s oldest player in history, claims Gracenote.

At the age of 39 years and 173 days, Zlatan started for Sweden’s FIFA World Cup 2022 qualifier.

In the 35th minute against Georgia (1-0, second half), Zlatan gave a goal pass to Viktor Claesson.

Ibrahimovic surpassed the achievement of goalkeeper Thomas Ravelli.

The latter played for Sweden in 1997 at 38 years and 1 month.

So, at 39, Ibrahimovic Is Sweden’s oldest player.
