Both Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain are priming to pounce on Mohamed Salah, and now, they may actually get to. That is because, among other of today’s football news, Salah’s contract talks with Liverpool are on hold at the moment.

Liverpool have agreed to new contract renewals with existing stars Alisson Becker, Virgil van Dijk, Jordan Henderson, and Trent Alexander-Arnold.

But the Reds have yet to reach an agreement with their biggest star, Mohamed Salah. Even so, just last month, Liverpool seemingly offered Salah a record renewal deal to ward off any football transfers away.

Regardless of this, Salah may now actually fail to agree to a new contract with Liverpool, with their current terms.

Football News – Salah’s Contract Talks with Liverpool Are on Hold

Former Roma and Chelsea player Mohamed Salah allegedly wants a staggering £500k per week to stay at Anfield beyond 2023.

However, Liverpool are unwilling to upend their wage structure, which they didn’t even disturb for any summer transfer window signings.

Even as we write this, Liverpool and Salah are most likely in contract negotiations.

But The Mirror reports that there has been ‘no breakthrough’ between the two parties due to the 29-year-old’s high demands.

If, eventually, the attacker does decide not to extend his stay with the Merseyside club, he has options lining up.

The Mirror report says that Real Madrid and PSG are among the clubs ready to pounce on the skilled striker.

Salah has already scored two goals and set up two more in three Premier League games this season. And this brings his total contribution for Liverpool to 127 goals and 49 assists, as charted across 206 games.

If these statistics are overwhelming for readers to understand, we’ll leave no doubts in their minds of his ability now. Can Liverpool really afford to let this gem go? –
