Phil Foden will get £100000-a-week from Manchester City, possibly. City are currently planning to give the star a new deal worth millions of pounds.
Foden’s latest contract at the Etihad Stadium has more than three years left on it.
According to The Mirror, Foden is currently paid £30,000 a week.
The Citizens, however, are eager to begin talks with the England international about a new deal, which may be worth up to £100,000 per week, according to the report.
City have long since wanted to forge the new contract to represent his contribution to the team. And so, its likely that Phil Foden will get £100000-a-week from Manchester City.
Just days ago, this week, Paul Power, a former Manchester-born City captain, praised Foden
“What fills me with a lot of pride at the moment is to see Phil doing really well,” Power said.
“When I was working under Jim Cassell as part of the academy coaching set-up, we were all instrumental in helping to get Phil to sign for us as a nine-year-old,” he went on.
So, he embarked on a story about Foden: “Everyone knew he was the best player in the northwest when he was eight. [Manchester] United and Liverpool and Everton were all interested in signing Phil.”
“But Phil’s dad is a big Blue and he said: ‘He ain’t going anywhere but City’ and I’m absolutely delighted to see how Phil has progressed,” he continued.
“His dad must be proud as anything to see him now in the first team and doing ever so well.”
During the 2020-21 season, Foden scored 13 goals and delivered nine assists in 41 appearances across all competitions.
So, it’s safe to say that the 20-year-old has been in excellent form for Pep Guardiola’s side.
