According to Mundo Deportivo, Diego Costa, who left Atletico Madrid, will join Benfica.
Costa, 32, has been a free agent since having his contract terminated by former club Atletico Madrid earlier this year for personal reasons.
Costa was compelled in December to move to his home country in Brazil.
The controversial but incredibly talented marksman has now agreed to join Benfica as a free agent.
Costa has had a 15-year career that has included spells with many top clubs.
After 474 senior competitive matches, the commanding Brazilian has 181 goals and 71 assists in all competitions.
Still, Costa is best known for his four-year stint with Premier League club Chelsea.
There, he won three major trophies, including two Premier League titles.
