The Football Association of England has published a report on EPL clubs’ payments to agents. The Guardian has reported on these 12-month figures from February 2020 to February 2021.
A report on EPL clubs’ payments to agents reveals that a total of £272,220,223 was spent on agency fees.
In the previous period, the total payment was £263,368,860.
So, despite the crisis associated with the coronavirus pandemic, the net amount has increased.
Of all the EPL clubs, Chelsea spent the most on agent payments – £35,247,822.
They made several costly transfers in the off-season, including Kai Havertz, Timo Werner, Hakim Ziyech and Ben Chilwell.
Following Chelsea were Manchester City (£30,174,615) and Manchester United (£29,801,555) follow.
Meanwhile, West Bromwich have spent the least at £4,222,059.
