Amidst questions about his future, Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea said he is confident that he can continue as the number one goalkeeper of the club, reports Diario AS.
Since joining from Atletico Madrid in 2011, De Gea has won the Premier League, FA Cup, Europa League, EFL Cup and Community Shield.
But the position of De Gea was questioned in 2019-20 due to his inconsistent form, highlighted last month by his mistakes in the semi-final defeat of the United FA Cup to Chelsea at Wembley.
“I have trust in myself,” said De Gea, who signed to United until at least June 2023.
“I’ve been demonstrating my qualities all the years, so I’m just keeping available for the manager. I am always happy to play and try to support the team — as I always did.”
So, the goalkeeper is sure that he will perform for United in the future.
