Saint Lucia Kings posted a total of 145/6 in 20 overs in the CPL 2021 final, which featured some exhilarating cricket in the opening half of the innings. Andre Fletcher was dismissed early in the innings courtesy of a great fielding performance by Sheldon Cottrell, making for a thrilling start to the encounter. The batting side was in trouble at the time as Mark Deyal was also removed for a low score.

However, Rahkeem Cornawall (43 off 32) and Roston Chase (43 off 40) both contributed significantly to the Kings’ comeback. To put up a fight, they needed someone to finish the innings on a high note and score some quick runs to get them past the 150-run mark. Finishers David Wiese and Tim David were expected to make an impact on Wednesday, but neither of them did so.

Keemo Paul makes a scorching cameo near the end of the film

With all of the big hitters back in the dugout, Keemo Paul was left to add some much-needed runs to the total. He chose the penultimate over of the innings, which was delivered by Domini Drakes, as his objective.

The left-arm pacer started the over with a wide delivery outside off, but Paul had already resolved to attack regardless of the ball’s location. Before stepping out and blasting a stunning six right down the wicket, he smoked the ball over the midwicket boundary.

Paul added insult to injury by launching a wide full toss over the third man region for a hattrick of sixes in the over. Drakes eventually recovered, bowling two dot deliveries before Paul took the bat for the final over of the innings, scoring a run off the final ball. In the 20th over, the 23-year-old hammered another massive six off Naseem Shah before being caught by J Carter.
